Your Questions, Answered.

  • How does a wood fired hot tub work?

A wood fired hot tub is heated by burning logs in a stove, which warms the water naturally without electricity. Once lit, the fire circulates heat through the stove and into the tub water until it reaches your desired temperature.

  • How long does it take to heat up?

Depending on the tub size, water volume, and outside temperature, it usually takes 2–3 hours to reach around 38–40°C, the ideal soaking temperature.

  • Do I need electricity for a wood fired hot tub?

No, wood fired hot tubs are completely off-grid. The only power you might use is for optional extras like lights or massage jets, if fitted.

  • What kind of wood should I use?

We recommend seasoned hardwood such as ash, oak, or beech. These burn hotter and longer, helping the tub heat efficiently. Softwoods like pine or spruce can also be used but may burn quicker.

  • How often should I change the water?

If you’re not using any water treatment, we recommend refreshing the water every 2–3 uses. With eco-friendly treatments or filtration, the water can last much longer.

  • Are wood fired hot tubs difficult to maintain?

Not at all! They are simple and low-maintenance — just empty the water when needed, give the tub a quick clean, and keep the chimney clear of ash buildup.

  • Can I use a wood fired hot tub all year round?

Yes — in fact, many people enjoy them even more in winter! The contrast of warm water and crisp air is a unique experience.

  • How many people can fit in a wood fired hot tub?

We supply different sizes, typically ranging from 2–8 people, so you can choose the perfect fit for your garden, holiday let, or business.

  • Are wood fired hot tubs eco-friendly?

Yes. Since they run on renewable wood fuel instead of electricity, they’re a more sustainable and cost-effective choice.
